David Trautrimas explores contemporary cultural phenomena in a multi-media practice that encompasses sculpture, installation, photo-based processes, and printmaking. Oscillating between abstracted and representational renderings, his work examines popular icons, ordinary objects and architectural spaces that influence and inform everyday life. 

Trautrimas’s work has been featured in numerous public exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Australia. He has held over 20 solo exhibitions since 2005, with the most recent being ‘Tidal’ at Mark Christopher Gallery, Toronto and ‘Lengths’ at Smokestack Gallery, Hamilton. Notable museum exhibitions include presentations at the Art Gallery of Hamilton; The Gardiner Museum; Art Gallery of Windsor; The Harbourfront Centre; The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and abroad at The Korean Arts Center, Seoul, South Korea and Queensland Center for Photography in Brisbane, Australia.
