Rita Camacho Lomeli

Rita Camacho Lomeli is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. Focusing on revealing the contemporary conditions of artworks, objects and spaces, her work spans art forms such as drawing, print, performance and everyday events like walking and conversing. Currently she is exploring the dynamics of publishing through a collaborative effort co-creating opportunities for bookwork projects to exist, adapt and venture into different contexts. Rita also works as an instructor and mentor of art and design. She has obtained grants through the Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. She has exhibited her work in artist-run centres, festivals and on the streets. Rita has an MFA from OCAD U.
