ALEXIS BOYLE (she/they) nurtures a vibrant practice including painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, and new media. Their work playfully explores sexualities and bodies in emotional anatomical landscapes. She earned a BFA from Concordia University and an interdisciplinary MFA from OCAD University, 2013. During her graduate studies, she held the Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship as well as the Fonds de recherche société et culture Scholarship. She has exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions. Her community curation, teaching and partnership building career as Curator, Community Access at the Ottawa Art Gallery channels a charged desire for a world where art is accessible to all.
