Lauren Hortie is an artist, DJ and educator working in Toronto On. She works in illustration, printmaking and paper cuttings. She is also the person behind Toronto cult nightlife events Steers & Queers, Bent Beauty and Cute Top. Lauren is part of the Midknife Films collective responsible for the award-winning Toronto LGBTQ history shadow puppet short films "Whatever Happened to Jackie Shane", "Midnight at the Continental" and "Meet me Under the Clock." You can find her work in various galleries, on tshirts and the telephone pole across the street from your house.
