Ron Loranger

Ron Loranger is a Toronto-based queer Franco-Ontarien artist whose often minimal creations are careful manipulations of watercolour and ink on paper. Sometimes these are pushed to a mixed media platform.

Throughout his career, he has been committed to Ontario’s community of artist-run centres such as the Sudbury-based G.N-O and Le Labo at 401 Richmond.  He has had representation at Robert Birch’s and  Katherine Mulherin’s multiple locations and Juno Youn’s in Montréal . Other art spaces that have presented his work have included Zsa Zsa Gallery and Mind Control. Public galleries have included Winter’s College gallery at York U. Now long gone. Glendon Gallery and UNB in Fredericton. Residencies included S.La.M. in Berlin , Axe-Neo7 in Gatineau and S.A.W. in Ottawa. Internationally, he’s been involved in three projects in Berlin ,a public project with VUCAVU in Vienna , the Textile Biennale in Costa Rica and a big summer show in Brooklyn with Jessica Murray Projects.
