Rachel Crummey

Rachel Crummey is a visual artist and writer based in Toronto.  She has exhibited in Canada, the U.K, Austria, and Italy.  Recent exhibition venues include the Art Museum at U of T (TO) and McBride Contemporary (MTL).  Her poems have appeared in Maisonneuve, the Puritan, and CV2, and her visual artwork has been published in the Capilano Review.  She was the 2024 Pope Artist in Residence at NSCAD University.  She has been artist in residence at Open Studio (TO), the Vermont Studio Centre and the Salzburger Kunstverein.  She received her MFA in visual arts from Guelph University (2014), and has a Certificate in Creative Writing from the Humber School for Writers, mentored by Kim Fu (2019). She is currently researching nonlinear intelligence through collaboration with fungi.
